User Guidance for our
Google Drive Folder
Our Google Drive Folder has been created to assist you in a wide range of actions which, hopefully, you will feel confident and competent to undertake:
It includes a guide to seeking support from your local Councillor for a voluntary ban within their respective Ward. It doesn’t matter whether it is a Town, Parish or larger Unitary Authority you are seeking support from, the guidance will put you on the right track.
We have included a PowerPoint presentation together with explanatory notes for each slide, as some Councils will allow you to deliver a short presentation. A sample ‘Notion of Motion’ submitted to another Council is included so that the wording can be duplicated.
In the event that you may wish to use graphic photos in your presentation, we have included a separate PowerPoint with relevant slides. Please ensure you give a warning before their viewing.
Guidance on how to approach shopkeepers selling flying rings is included together with a poster: ‘We do not sell flying rings’ for those retailers supporting the campaign and your efforts. This poster can be proudly and prominently displayed at their shop premises.
We have two additional posters: one aimed at a younger audience - ‘Children’s Poster’, whilst the other ‘Public Poster’ is for general public use.
A number of quotes by key UK Seal Alliance Executive members are included for any social media posts you may wish to make.
Finally, a QR Code for the active petition ‘Save Our Seals from Flying Rings’. Please promote the campaign far and wide.
We hope you have found this Folder of use. Please contact us at the email addresses on the Launch Pack should you require further assistance.
Thank You
